Hello and welcome!
I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Zell, and I’m a counselor, military spouse, and passionate advocate for mental health care for all.
I know from experience that seeking mental health care as a military member or dependent can be a challenge, and often these services are much less accessible than they should be. I am NOT a licensed therapist, but instead work in a less formal capacity as a coach and counselor. This allows me to accept cash pay clients at a lower rate, without having to involve any insurance provider. As my background is in counseling, I maintain the same standards of ethics and confidentiality that a licensed counselor would.
I received my masters degree in Co-Occurring Disorders Counseling in 2021, and have been working in the mental health field since receiving my bachelors in 2019. I'm also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Oregon, although substance use counseling is only a small part of what I do. My focus is in providing coping skills and strategies that help clients to live their most successful and authentic lives. Working with LGBTQ+ clients is another important part of what I do, as queer service members and family members face unique challenges that I, as a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, am all too aware of.
